HCM City hosts 165,000 tourists in July

Ho Chi Minh City welcomed 165,000 foreign visitors in July, many from the US, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, France and Malaysia, an increase of 10 percent from last year.

Over 1 million foreign visitors visited HCM City since the beginning of this year, an increase of 11 percent.

The southern commercial hub maintains 51 shopping centres and 21 bars and restaurants that maintain global tourism standards.

Total revenue from HCM City's tourist industry is estimated at 11.9 trillion VND (747 million USD), in the last seven months, increasing 36 percent from the same period last year.
